The Sahara Camino is the iconic flagship expedition encouraging us to step into the WILD….
Disconnecting from our day to day as we leave the city behind and travel out to the deep desert for an authentic nomadic adventure, with our camel caravan carrying everything we need.
No other expedition is so wildly transformative, stripping you back to the REAL you!
Completely off the beaten track we walk alongside our camel train for 7 days and camp under the milky way to really FEEL this land and the spaciousness, our hearts opening more and more as we walk this meditative camino.
“I’ve crossed these sands many times” said one of the camel drivers one night. “But the desert is so huge, and the horizon so distant, that they make a person feel small, and as if he should remain silent.”
Paolo Coelho, The Alchemist
Day 1-2
After arriving, settling in and orientating ourselves within this new culture and vibrant environment, we leave the hustle bustle of Marrakesh and start our journey towards the desert.
We traverse the High Atlas Mountains, down into valleys and small oasis towns following the main thoroughfare for the trans-saharan trade route between Marrakech and sub-saharan Africa.
Eventually we get (literally) to the end of the road, when our adventure really starts…
Day 3-9
We start the captivating seven-day odyssey into the mystique of the Sahara Desert.
With Abdelhadi as our unwavering guide, prepare for an immersive journey across 120 kilometres of ever-shifting dunes and breathtaking vistas.
Engage in the nomadic lifestyle, finding solace in traditional Berber delicacies served in the intimate setting of the nomadic tents.
Traverse the dunes by day and find peace under the glittering expanse of stars by night.
Day 10-14
Time to Reflect and Rejuvenate
As we slowly journey back towards the bustling streets of Marrakech, it’s time to rest, recuperate, and rejuvenate.
This period allows us to reflect on the epic adventure we’ve just shared and to make sense of our experiences.
We’ll consider what lessons and insights we can bring home and how we might integrate them into our daily lives.
One thing is certain: the YOU that entered the desert will not be the same as the YOU that leaves it.
This journey is truly transformational, both internally and externally.

Day 1-4
Upon arrival, you’ll settle into our tranquil Moroccan/French riad in the old Medina of Marrakech.
Each day, dive into the vibrant hustle and bustle of souks, cafes, shops, palaces, gardens, galleries, and museums.
Over 4 nights, we balance our busy days with serene respites in peaceful gardens and the calming atmosphere of our riad.
My goal is to help you experience the authentic Morocco—a rich hybrid of cultures. As we explore, you’ll identify various styles and discover traces of the old world alongside innovative designers and craftspeople who blend traditional and contemporary techniques, infusing the souks with inspiration.
Day 5-9
For the next 4 nights, stay in our Amazigh kasbah nestled in a palm garden village along the Draa River.
Immerse yourself in the peaceful environment and engage in slow art workshops to gain a sense of place.
Explore a 500-year-old kasbah, enjoy mint tea on the terrace with valley views, and wander through gardens and date palms.
Visit the local souk, a jewelry emporium, and experience the locals’ warm hospitality.
Enjoy hands-on creative workshops and moments of reflection, watching the light play on the ancient valley walls, revealing thousands of years of human history.
Day 10-15
On Day 10, we head west through a mineral-rich landscape south of the Atlas Mountains, pausing at a village carpet cooperative and enjoying lunch in the Valley of Saffron.
We stay in Taroudant for the night, dining in a French riad’s garden courtyard. The next day, we reach the Atlantic Ocean, lunch by the sea, and travel north to a luxury villa south of Essaouira for 2 nights of art, antiques, and beach walks.
In Essaouira, we stay 4 nights within the Medina walls, exploring the ancient town, souks, and port. Enjoy workshops, beach activities, and local cuisine. On Day 15, we share a sunset meal and prepare for our departure.
